We are working exclusively with Next World Enterprises on this exciting new role within the company. Next World Enterprises is building the next world of safety, training, and inductions through Virtual Reality. With 11% of all workplace deaths related to falls from heights and the leading cause of confined space entry fatalities is inadequate training, VR offers a safe and controlled training ground for individuals to get the training they need to save lives.

As the business continues to grow, they are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their growing team to assist in acquiring, and nurturing their clients. The founder has proven experience building and scaling niche companies and will be a terrific mentor for your career development.

The Role:

This is a customer relationship-centric role that will require you to:

In General:

  • Forecast, develop and manage a consistent, predictable sales pipeline for the dedicated market segments
  • Identify and implement compelling events to increase pipeline velocity & predictability
  • Attend and participate in networking and industry events to drive awareness and interest in the solution
  • Work on Tenders, EoI’s and procurement platforms in order to achieve sales.
  • Work with the successful BD structures internally to reach your monthly/quarterly KPI’s
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical team members, stakeholders and clients
  • Work within a well-structured sales pipeline generation model

New Leads:

  • Generate revenue for the business through identifying, qualifying and closing new business
  • Use your past experience and confidence in cold calling to build brand awareness and win business (this is just 10% of your role).
  • Work with and nurture inbound warm leads that flow through the marketing funnel
  • Combine your people skills and tech talk will be vital to the success of this role!

Existing Clients:

  • Manage and retain already existing clients and testing users through ongoing communication and support
  • Use your technical background to onboard and manage clients on the tech platform

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience as a BDM or Account Manager in a similar role.
  • Proven experience generating revenue for a business through identifying, qualifying and closing new business
  • Solid knowledge and a keen interest in emerging tech
  • Proven ability to work with structured performance procedures, goals and KPI’s
  • Experience working with the full sales cycle
  • The ability to communicate effectively with clients in a succinct and informative manner
  • A university bachelor or equivalent 
  • A keen interest in emerging tech and a technical background would be advantageous

OTE: $120K  – $140K+ super
